Rivers State Police Command warns residents against boarding commercial vehicles outside motor parks

Rivers State Police Command on Sunday, February 21, warned residents of the state against boarding vehicles by the roadside for their security and safety. The statement released reads:
"It has come to the notice of the Rivers State Police Command that some criminal minded people have now resorted to disguising as commercial motorists thereby deceiving unsuspecting commuters. They more often than not take passengers along the roads instead of designated and approved motor parks with such passengers apparently end up being kidnapped.
Consequently, commuters using public transport especially those in the habit of boarding vehicle along the roads are hereby advised to be self security conscious and forthwith desist from such dangerous attitude as boarding vehicle inside designated motor parks is believed to more secured.
